• Co-produced with Wendy Finerman, Steve Tisch, and Steve Starkey "Forrest Gump," for which he received a DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement, in addition to a PGA Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures
• Attended Ohio State University, at which he received a bachelor's degree in photography and cinema
• After graduating from college, he worked as a location manager on films such as "Flashdance," "Pretty in Pink," and "Ferris Bueller's Day Off․"
• Worked with Marvel Studios as the Executive Producer of "Iron Man 3․"
• Joined Revolution Studios in 2000, and with them he produced over 47 films including "Anger Management," "Daddy Daycare," and "Across the Universe," before leaving to work independently in 2007
