Fast Facts

• Attended Lane College in Jackson, Tenn․, where he was a member of the school's band
• Worked as a DJ while attending Lane College and also worked in Washington, D․C․ and Los Angeles
• Got into voice-over work by doing commercials, which soon led to his working on cartoons
• Voiced the Autobot Blaster in the "Transformers" TV series and films in the mid-1980s
• Best known as the voice of Winston Zeddemore in "The Real Ghost Busters" and as Black Vulcan in "Super Friends․"
• Was the host of "Soul Unlimited," Dick Clark's answer to "Soul Train․"
