• Studied at Max Reinhardt's drama school in Hollywood on a scholarship
• Was married to author Leslie Charteris, who wrote the adventure series "The Saint․"
• Appeared on Broadway opposite Stella Adler and Gregory Peck in "Sons and Soldiers" in 1943
• Signed with Warner Bros․ when she was a teenager and made her film debut in 1942's "The Male Animal․"
• When her contract with Warner Bros․ wasn't renewed, she went to work as a Power's model before signing a new contract with RKO in 1943
• Best known for her role as Mrs․ Anne Randall in "Desperate" and as Georgia in "Born to Kill․"
• First met Tom Conway, who would later go on to play the title character in the radio version of her husband's series "The Saint," when they both appeared in the 1944 film "A Night of Adventure․"
