• Given an honorary Cesar Award in 2002
• Discovered at the age of 14 by director Henri Calef who stopped her on the streets of Paris and asked if she would like to be in one of his films
• Quote: "You can only perceive real beauty in a person as they get older․"
• Gained international fame, but never made it to Hollywood to film features, as she was set to play opposite Dustin Hoffman in 1984, but the film was never completed
• Notable titles include "8 1/2", "Un Homme et une femme" and numerous others throughout Spain, Italy and her home country of France
• Chose the stage name of Anouk after she portrayed a character by the same name in her first film, "La Maison sous la mer"
