• Won two Silver Ariel Awards for Best Supporting Actress for "Nora's Will" in 2010 and for "La vida precoz y breve de Sabina Rivas" in 2013
• Graduated from the National Institute of Fine Arts and later studied Spanish Literature at the National Autonomous University of Mexico
• Made her acting debut in the TV series "Pueblo sin esperanza" in 1968
• Best known for her role as Sister Ann in "Man on Fire" and as Doña Mercedes in "Casa de los babys․"
