• Has been the spokesman of the National Council de La Raza and is a member of The National Hispanic Foundation for the Arts, and was honored by Hispanic Unity USA for his commitment to the Hispanic community
• Was a certified Creative Dramatics instructor for the East LA Classic Theatre/LAUSD Teacher's program, which focused on bringing theater education to area middle schools
• Was nominated for three ALMA Awards for Outstanding Actor/Supporting Actor: one for "Detention: The Siege at Johnson High" in 1998, one for "Why Do Fools Fall in Love" in 1999, and one for "The District" in 2002
• Studied Acting and Directing at Boston University's School of Fine Arts Conservatory
• Made his acting debut with a guest-starring role on the TV series "The Cosby Show" in 1985
• Directed theatre at the Fiorelo H․ Laguardia High School of Music and Art, where his productions broke records at the box office
• Best known for his role as Skaara and Klorel in the "Stargate" franchise and as Rafael in "Touched by an Angel․"
