• Nomiated for Black Reel Award for Best Supporting Actress: Television Movie/Cable in 2015
• Graduated from the University of Miami with honors and acclaim with her BFA in theater
• Her first break came when she won the role of Carla Howell on the drama "NYPD Blue," and other television credits followed
• As a member of a Brooklyn-based theater company called the Health Watch Players, she gave her early performances in schools, churches, prisons, group homes and on the streets of New York City
• Her high school tap dance instructor encouraged her to enroll in the High School of Performing Arts in New York to pursue her creative abilities, and it was there that she began to study acting

• She has played a member of a hotel's cleaning staff on two popular television shows, "Desperate Housewives" and "Weeds․"
• In college, she won the title of Miss Black University and an award for Best Talent
