• Nominated for a Writers Guild of America Award in 2009 for his work on the fourth season of "Lost"
• Studied filmmaking at the University of Wisconsin
• Best known for working as executive producer and writer for ABC's "Lost" and "Once Upon a Time" as well as "TRON: Legacy"
• Got his start in the industry as an assistant before landing a writing position for the remake of "Fantasy Island" which would later help him land gigs on "Felicity" and other popular series
• He and writing partner Edward Kitsis signed on to "Lost" halfway through the first season as writers and eventually rose to become the series' executive producers
• Had to back out as executive producer of "Tron 3" after "Once Upon a Time" was picked up by ABC in 2011, however, he continued to consult and supervise on the project
