Jay Leno became ill and checked himself into a hospital on Thursday, prompting NBC to cancel the taping of The Tonight Show, his spokesman said. Leno left his office at NBC's Burbank studios and went to the hospital for observation about midday, his spokesman, Dick Guttman, told the Associated Press.
