The Winchesters might be nearing the end of the road as Supernatural's final season kicks off Thursday night, but their family connection will carry on. To celebrate Jeffrey Dean Morgan's wedding on Oct. 5, he and his onscreen sons Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles decided to get inked up in their formalwear together.

In an Instagram post shared Thursday morning, Morgan showed a picture of all three Winchester men getting tattoos on their forearms and captured the snaps with, "Me and Hilarie Burton weren't the only ones joined for life.... Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, and myself will forever have a bond that is both special, and permanent. Love you both dearly."

Ackles was also part of Morgan and Burton's "intimate" wedding ceremony, officiating alongside Morgan's The Walking Dead co-star Norman Reedus. Morgan described it as the "best day of [their] lives."

"Just never knew that it could be so damn perfect. It was. And more," he wrote of the occasion.

Morgan also returned to Supernatural for its momentous 300th episode event earlier this year. Their touching Winchester family reunion was a punch in the feelings for absolutely everyone, so this group tattoo feels like the perfect beginning to the end of Supernatural.

Supernatural Season 15 premieres Thursday, Oct. 10 at 8/7c on The CW.
