Joan Rivers' funeral Sunday in New York City was a star-studded event — and, by all accounts, exactly the kind of glitzy, laugh-filled celebration she would have wanted.
The private service was held at Temple Emanu-El on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, and attendees included Rivers' daughter Melissa, grandson Cooper, and Fashion Police colleagues Giuliana Rancic and Kelly Osbourne (who was accompanied by her father Ozzy), People reports. And, as promised, the event featured a red carpet.

Howard Stern and Melissa Rivers were among the speakers, Hugh Jackman sung Peter Allen's "Quiet Please, There's a Lady on Stage," and Audra McDonald performed Charlie Chaplin's "Smile." Melissa Rivers said she was "humbled" by the outpouring of support in her mother's last days and called her mother an "inspiration," according to People.
Other guests included Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband Matthew Broderick, Rosie O'Donnell, Kathy Griffin, Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Donald Trump and Joy Behar.
Guests departed to the tune of bagpipes playing "New York, New York."
Rivers died Thursday, a week after she was rushed to the hospital after she stopped breathing during surgery on her vocal chords. She was 81.
