Kanye West led the field with seven Grammy nominations, including Song of the Year and Best Rap Performance, as the Recording Academy announced the nominees with a live, music-filled special Wednesday night. Following West in nominations were Adele, Foo Fighters and Bruno Mars with six apiece. Lil Wayne and Skrillex each received five nods.

Highlights from CBS' The Grammy Nominations Concert Live! — Countdown to Music's Biggest Night included performances from Lady Gaga, Jason Aldean, Rihanna (via satellite from London), Ludacris, The Band Perry and Sugarland joining Lady Gaga.
Usher, joined by Valerie Simpson and Mike Stoller, also performed a moving tribute to two of the industry's most beloved songwriting teams: Ashford & Simpson and Lieber & Stoller. Both Nick Ashford and Jerry Lieber died earlier this year.
Common, Grandmaster Flash, Lupe Fiasco and LL Cool J also rocked it old school with "The Message."
