Beyonce continues to run the world — at least as far as the MTV Video Music Awards are concerned.
The singer leads the 2014 VMA nominees with eight nods, including Video of the Year, Best Female Video and Best Collaboration (for "Drunk in Love" with her husband Jay Z). She's also set to perform a medley of her hits during Sunday's broadcast, and is the recipient of this year's Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
MTV has also announced that it plans to air a 15-second public service announcement in the wake of unrest in Ferguson, Missouri. Check it out here:
Azalea and Beyonce will square off in the Video of the Year category for "Fancy" and "Drunk in Love," respectively. They'll be up against Sia ("Chandelier"), Pharrell Williams ("Happy") and Miley Cyrus ("Wrecking Ball").
The two will also go head-to-head in the Best Female Video race, where Beyonce is nominated for "Partition" and Azalea is a double nominee for "Fancy" and "Problem," the latter of which is a collaboration with Ariana Grande. Rounding out the category are Katy Perry ("Dark Horse") and Lorde ("Royals").
The 2014 Video Music Awards will air live on MTV on Sunday, Aug. 24 at 9/8c. Who are you rooting for?
