Nicki Minaj's VMAs Wardrobe Malfunction: What Really Happened

Nicki Minaj kicked off the MTV Video Music Awards performances with some aggressive booty-shaking — and nearly suffered a major wardrobe malfunction.

After performing her new single "Anaconda," Minaj quickly changed and returned to the stage with Ariana Grande and Jessie J for their song "Bang Bang." But all eyes were on Minaj who was literally holding together her tight black dress as she rapped her verse.

So what happened? "We ran out of time getting the dressed zipped up," the performer said backstage, according to The Hollywood Reporter. read more

VMA Nominations: Beyonce Leads the Way

Beyonce continues to run the world — at least as far as the MTV Video Music Awards are concerned.

The singer leads the 2014 VMA nominees with eight nods, including Video of the Year, Best Female Video and Best Collaboration (for "Drunk in Love" with her husband Jay Z). She's also set to perform a medley of her hits during Sunday's broadcast, and is the recipient of this year's Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

American Idol's Kristen O'Connor: "Beautiful Disaster" Wasn't My First Choice

Though she was the first Top 13 contestant to be eliminated on Season 13 of American Idol,Kristen O'Connor says she wouldn't have done anything differently — even though she was talked out of her original song choice for what ended up being her final performance.

"They ask us to send a list of three songs that we think we're going to sing, and it actually wasn't on my list," O'Connor tells TVGuide.com. "But then the producers were like, 'Oh, we think this would be a really good song.' They got really excited about it, and so I got really excited about it. ... It was kind of a last-minute type decision, but I was happy with it."
