Drake Hosts Saturday Night Live: What Were the Best Sketches?

Saturday Night Live welcomed Drake this weekend as host and musical guest on its first offering of 2014 and also gave new cast member Sasheer Zamata a chance to shine — even though the episode certainly wasn't one of the better installments from this season. Despite his recent musical success, the Degrassi alum proved he's still got more than a few acting chops to show off, gamely doing impressions of everyone from Lil' Wayne to a dorky dad at a slumber party. Check out some of the highlights from the episode below:

Despite his recent musical success, the Degrassi alum proved he's still got more than a few acting chops to show off, gamely doing impressions of everyone from Lil' Wayne to a dorky dad at a slumber party. Check out some of the highlights from the episode below:

VIDEOS: Meet SNL's new addition Sasheer Zamata

Piers Morgan Cold Open: Taran Killam's take on the CNN host is getting a bit tiresome, but this edition is worth it for Kate McKinnon's impersonation of Justin Bieber, if nothing else.

Bar Mitzvah Monologue: In his opening remarks, Drake talks about growing up in Canada with a Jewish mother and a black father — and gives viewers a glimpse of what his bar mitzvah was like.

Hip Hop Classics: Before They Were Stars: Sway (Kenan Thompson) hosts a special edition of "Before They Were Stars," highlighting some of the lesser-known early work of hip-hop artists like Lil Wayne and Eminem.

Resolution Revolution: Sasheer Zamata gives her standout performance of the night in this pre-taped rap about how hard it is to stick to New Year's Resolutions.

Weekend Update: Jacqueline Bisset: Vanessa Bayer appears on "Weekend Update" to lampoon Jacqueline Bisset's awkward, lengthy acceptance speech at the Golden Globes.

What did you think of the episode? And what's your first impression of Zamata?
