Kristen Wiig Returns to SNL: Which Characters Did She Resurrect?

Kristen Wiig hosted Saturday Night Live this week, returning to the stage for the first time since leaving the show "11 months and 30 days ago," as she noted in her opening monologue. The Bridesmaids star resurrected several of the characters she made famous, including Gilly, the Target lady, Garth and Kat (with Fred Armisen), and Dooneese (the creepy lady with baby hands and a huge forehead). She also brought with her Jonah Hill and her real-life BFF (and Bridesmaids co-star) Maya Rudolph. Watch some of the night's best sketches below:

Top Videos: Kimmel Asks About Fake Bands at Coachella, Kate McKinnon and Ellen Dance

This week, Jimmy Kimmel interviewed fans at the Coachella Music Festival about some hot new bands — the only problem is, the bands don't actually exist. But that didn't stop festival-goers from gushing about them. Elsewhere, Saturday Night Live's Kate McKinnon did her best Ellen DeGeneres impersonation in front of Ellen herself, and Boardwalk Empire's Steve Buscemi discovered a family connection with the band Vampire Weekend. Also, in random celebrity strokes of genius, Tilda Swinton led the audience at Ebertfest in a dance to Barry White in remembrance of Roger Ebert, and Buscemi's Boardwalk castmate Michael Shannon did a dramatic (and NSFW!) reading of a nasty letter from a sorority president. Check out those clips and more in our weekly roundup of Top Videos:

Check out some of the highlights from Saturday's episode below. How do you think Vaughn did?

Ellen DeGeneres Responds to SNL Spoof: "Really, Do I Sound Like That?"

Ellen DeGeneres was the latest celebrity that Saturday Night Live spoofed — and the good-natured talk show host took it in stride.

SNL: Joseph Gordon-Levitt Hypnotizes as the Son of the Most Interesting Man in the World

Joseph Gordon-Levitt brought his A-game— and some very strangely shaved facial hair — for his first time hosting Saturday Night Live.

In the most memorable sketches of the evening, The Dark Knight Rises actor played the son of the Dos Equis beer's faux spokesman, the self-styled Most Interesting Man in the World. Among his special abilities? He can make a woman cringe just by entering a room and he can almost do a 180 on his razor scooter. So why did he make Tres Equis Beer? "Because he was never.... read more
