The piece-by-piece dismantling of American Idol goes on, according to a Tuesday report.

Idol's longtime executive producers Nigel Lythgoe and Ken Warwick are expected to be fired before Season 13 gets underway, sources tell the Hollywood Reporter. Fox had no comment.

5 changes American Idol needs to make in Season 13

The move would add to the exodus of the show's famous talent. Judges Mariah Carey, Randy Jackson, and Nicki Minaj have all announced they won't be back next year. Fox's reality TV brain-trust Mike Darnell stepped down May 24, casting a shadow of doubt over where the show would go next. High-profile Idol alums -- including Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson -- have been rumored to join the judges' table in 2014.

Lythgoe and Warwick helped start American Idol in 2002.

Where should American Idol go from here? Do you want to see Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson at the judges' table?
