Hip-hop dancer Brandon Dumlao is scheduled to replace him.
Bell, a 19-year-old contemporary dancer from Palm Beach, Fla., made new permanent judge Adam Shankman cry during Las Vegas auditions. A Fox rep declined to offer specifics about Bell's health.
