Katee Sackhoff to Stay on CSI?

After pursuing Katee Sackhoff for several years, CSI executive producer Carol Mendelsohn tells TV Guide Magazine that the Battlestar Galacticaactress is heading to Vegas for November sweeps — and maybe a little longer.
"Katee's filming an episode right now, and hopefully an arc, and maybe more than that," Mendelsohn told us at the Paley Fall Preview Party for CBS on September 10. "My fingers are crossed that it could turn into something more. We have to wait and see."
Sackhoff joins CSI as Dt. Frankie Reed, who will butt heads with Nick (George Eads) and the other CSIs. "I've found that things that are meant to be work themselves out when they're supposed to," says Mendelsohn. "You can't force it. It was just the perfect time. We had this idea for a great character and the second we started talking about this new detective we said, 'Katee!'" And by the sound of it, Sackhoff's having a blast. Says Mendelsohn: "She's really happy."
