Wendi McLendon-Covey, The GoldbergsIs it weird to say that the Reno 911! and Bridesmaids star was born to play a real person? Sweetly crazy (and vice versa), McLendon-Covey is deliriously good as Beverly, who's based on creator Adam F. Goldberg's mother, never overplaying her overbearing antics to the point where you forget that it all comes from a place of love. If she can't get an Emmy, she needs a Smother of the Year award.Amy Poehler, Parks and RecreationPoehler finally won her first major award for Parks and Rec at the Golden Globes, and we can only hope that a long overdue Emmy is next. It's easy to play snarky, bitchy and jaded, but it's much harder to do what Poehler has done for nearly seven years: make a tirelessly chipper person never feel tired. Taylor Schilling, Orange Is the New BlackNo one would blame Schilling if she had gotten lost among Orange's colorful and far showier array of Litchfield inmates in the seemingly thankless, on paper at least, role of Piper. But the Golden Globe nominee (in the drama category) has deftly navigated the waters, toeing the sympathy line for a woman stripped of privilege like a seasoned pro. The good news for Schilling? Voting commenced hot on the heels ofOrange's red-hot Season 2 release.Find out why you should binge-watch Orange Is the New Black:
