Cynthia Nixon to Guest on Law & Order: CI

Cynthia Nixon is set to guest-star in a previously announced upcoming episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent that will be loosely based on the recent Broadway debacle Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, TVLine reports.

Nixon will play the Julie Taymor-esque director Amanda Reese, who's attempting to helm a troubled theatrical production called Icarus, presumably based on the Greek myth. In the episode, a botched stunt will result in a death and Reese's spiraling.

Law & Order: Criminal Intent's 10^th season will bow May 1 (8/7c) on USA.
