Jennifer Aniston may find Angelina Jolie's behavior "uncool," but Brad Pitt doesn't feel the same way about his ex for making that comment.
"Listen, man, Jen is a sweetheart," Pitt told the February issue of W magazine. "I think she got dragged into that one, and then there's a second round to all of that Angie versus Jen. It's so created."
In the December issue of Vogue, Aniston voiced her disgruntlement about Jolie publicly timelining her budding romance with Pitt on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith. "There was stuff printed there that was definitely from a time when I was unaware that it was happening," Aniston said. "That stuff about how she couldn't wait to get to work every day? That was really uncool."
Pitt denies such an affair took place during production, which he says lasted for a year and continued well after he and Aniston split. The two, who married in 2000, announced their official separation in January 2005.
"We were still filming after Jen and I split up," he said. "Even then it doesn't mean that there was some kind of dastardly affair. There wasn't. I'm very proud of the way that it was handled. It was respectful. [The film] will mean something to our kids. It will, that's all."
As for his current relationship with Aniston, Pitt insists the two remain friendly and often keep in touch.
"We still check in with each other," he said. "She was a big part of my life, and me hers. I don't see how there cannot be [that]. That's life, man. That's life."
