The X Factor's Simon Cowell: "We'd Be Crazy" Not to Have Demi Lovato Back

Apparently not everyone from The X Factor is on the chopping block. In an interview with former colleague and sparring partner Ryan Seacrest on his radio show, executive producer and judge Simon Cowell revealed his hopes for judge Demi Lovato. "Nothing is official but I liked having Demi on the show. She's fun to work with," Cowell said. "I think we'd be crazy not to have her back." Apparently not everyone from The X Factor is on the chopping block.

In an interview with former colleague and sparring partner Ryan Seacrest on his radio show, executive producer and judge Simon Cowell revealed his hopes for judge Demi Lovato. "Nothing is official but I liked having Demi on the show. She's fun to work with," Cowell said. "I think we'd be crazy not to have her back."

The news must come as a sigh of relief for Lovato, 20, while the reality singing competition show undergoes another round of musical chairs. Original judge L.A. Reid announced he was leaving shortly before the Season 2 finale. Britney Spears then confirmed she was departing after one season in January. Most recently, reports claimed Khloe Kardashian Odom had been axed, but that her co-host Mario Lopez would be coming back for Season 3.

Lovato joined The X Factor in Season 2 just as she was enjoying her biggest radio hit yet with "Give Your Heart a Break." However, Lovato was the only judge not to have an artist advance to the Season 2 finale. Reid's team member, Tate Stevens, was crowned the winner.
