The Walking Dead's Jon Bernthal in talks to join new Frank Darabont pilot

TVGuide.com has learned that DeMunn, whose Dead character Dale died at the end of Season 2, will play Hal Morrison, the detective at the head of the LAPD mob squad. Rothenberg, whose character Jim died during Season 1, will guest-star as Eddy Sanderson, a member of Hal's team.

The pilot will also reunite Dead executive producer Darabont, who exited the zombie drama before the Season 2 premiere, with recently axed Jon Bernthal, who will play L.A. cop Joe Teague. Rothenberg first tweeted the news.
