VIDEO: Did Omar Epps Wear a Skirt on The View?

Fashion-forward or fashion faux pas?

While appearing on The Viewthis past week to promote his new show Resurrection, Omar Epps appeared to be wearing a leather skirt over black jeans.

Sherri Shepherd brought up Epps' wardrobe choice briefly on the show, calling it "amazing." Several Twitter users also weighed in.

"So now Omar Epps has joined the skirt gang? Say it isn't so! Old heads supposed to know better," tweeted actor and M.C. Lord Jamar, along with a photo of the outfit.

That provoked a rather heated back-and-forth between Lord Jamar and Marlon Wayans, who defended Epps' style choice with a series of tweets that for the most part can't be printed here.

Epps' leather skirt recalls the same (poorly received) look Kanye West tried to pull off at the Hurricane Sandy benefit show in 2012.
