True Blood Bumps Up Adina Porter for Final Season

Oh, mama! Adina Porter, who plays Tara's mother on True Blood, has been promoted to a series regular for the series' final season, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Porter has recurred as Lettie Mae Thornton since the vampire drama's first season. She also recurs on another HBO show, The Newsroom, as "News Night" staffer Kendra James. She also co-starred in the HBO films Gia and Lackawanna Blues.

Porter is one of several actors who will bumped up to series regulars for the show's seventh and final season including Bailey Noble, Amelia Rose Blaire, Luke Grimes and Karolina Wydra.
