There's nothing like a brain tumor to speed along the wedding process. Afraid Izzie might not have much longer to live, Meredith gave up her wedding day to allow Izzie and Alex the chance to say "I do." Alex's vows reflected how much he'd grown ("Today I become a man, a husband," he said. "I become accountable to someone other than myself") and he proved it as he stood right beside Izzie as she shaved off the hair she had left. Perhaps most notably, however, the wedding day switcheroo made way for one of the most controversial "weddings" ever: Meredith and Derek married one another with a Post-it.
