Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List
10 pm/ET Bravo
It's a mama panorama in this episode, which spins around Kathy's mother, the boxed-wine aficionado Maggie, who's emerged as a popular series figure in her own right. It all begins with Kathy's latest ploy to rise to A-list glory: She's set to pen a gossipy tell-all book about her peers, her significant others — and Ryan Seacrest, of course. Certainly Kathy's mom will be targeted as comical book fodder, so Kathy makes preemptive amends by granting Maggie a series of wishes. High on the wish list is a trip to California wine country with MADtv players Michael McDonald and Nicole Sullivan. — Dean Maurer
Weeds
10 pm/ET Showtime
Singer-songwriter (and sometime actress) Alanis Morissette joins the cast for a short story arc as Dr. Audra Kitson, Nancy's obstetrician. Nancy turns to the doctor for advice when she contemplates an abortion. As for Nancy's sons, Shane isn't quite teacher's pot pet so he has to employ some strong-arm help to school him in the ways of dealing with a teacher (Todd Robert Anderson) who won't return his stash. And Silas and Doug are off to see "The Wizard," a marijuana provider who "Oz-tensibly" can supply cannabis for their dispensary. — Ray Stackhouse
The Great Debate
10 pm/ET VH1
"Let's get ready to rumble" with ring announcer Michael Buffer as he hosts this heavyweight showdown concerning major pop-culture questions. The six-part debate airs Monday through Friday this week and features celebrities weighing in, including DMC, Gilbert Gottfried, Sir Mix-a-Lot, Hulk Hogan, Jerry Springer, Ray J, Omarosa, Salt 'n' Pepa, Tila Tequila, Shanna Moakler and Perez Hilton. Among the questions tackled in the opener: Who's the dreamier John Travolta character: Danny Zuko in Grease or Tony Manero in Saturday Night Fever? — Fred Mitchell
The Closer
9 pm/ET TNT
Tonight's case comes with profound societal implications as Brenda goes out of her way to prove to fuming Los Angeles residents that the LAPD does care about crime in poor areas. This weighty matter stems from the murder of an erstwhile gang member. Clues emerge to reveal that he may not have been the target after all, spurring Brenda to revisit the Crenshaw Community Center and its steward, Father Jack (Mark Rolston, reprising his series role). — Dean Maurer
