Report: Tara Reid Won't Be Back for Sharknado 2

Sharknado is getting a sequel, but Reid won't be a part of it, according to TMZ.

No casting decisions have been confirmed, but TMZ reports that in a meeting last week, producers said they intend to bring Ian Ziering back for the second film and drop Reid, who played Ziering's estranged wife in the original.

Reid, however, denied that she had been cut from the campy B-movie franchise. "There is no script for sharknado 2 until i read it then i will make a decision but everyone that is saying i got cut that is not true#liars," she tweeted Sunday.

The as-yet-untitled Sharknado sequel — you can help pick the name! — will be set in New York City. The original Sharknado — about a tornado of sharks that terrorizes Los Angeles — aired on Syfy earlier this month and will be shown in theaters nationwide Friday for one day only.
