Don't you hate it when you're walking in Times Square and all of a sudden a Sharknado materializes out of nowhere and an airborne Great White eats your Pilates partner? That's exactly the type of mayhem that'll be going down in the upcoming sequel to Syfy's ridiculous hit Sharknado. The network has finally released the first footage from Sharknado 2: The Second One, and yep, it's just as loony as you'd expect:

Sharknado 2 brings back Sharknado stars Ian Ziering and Tara Reid as a fishy storm descends on Manhattan. New cast members include Vivica A. Fox, Kelly Osbourne, Judah Friedlander, Andy Dick, Judd Hirsch, Kari Wuhrer, Mark McGrath, and Billy Ray Cyrus.

Sharknado 2 star: "This is the most important film ever made about climate change."

In 2013, Sharknado became an Internet phenomenon, even though just 1.37 million viewers watched its heavily promoted premiere. However, due to plenty of "toothsome" buzz and curiosity, subsequent encores drew larger audiences, with the movie's third airing netting 2.1 million viewers two week's after the film's debut.

Also, a word to the wise: Don't plan on hiding your harpoons after The Second One, as Syfy has already ordered a third Sharknado film.
