Sarah Michelle Gellar's Ringer Gets Picked Up --- By The CW

In a surprising twist, The Ringer, originally set at CBS, has been picked up by sister network The CW, Deadline.com reports.

The Ringer (which TVGuide.com had spotlighted as one of its 11 Promising Pilots) stars Sarah Michelle Gellar as a troubled recovering alcoholic on the run from some shady characters who hides out by assuming the identity of her wealthy twin sister. One problem: Her sibling has a bounty on her head as well. 

Eric Carmelo and Nicole Snyder (Supernatural) will executive-produce the project, which marks Gellar's return to television after her seven-season run on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
