On the broadcast networks, Gossip Girl's big 100th episode grew 23 percent from the previous week, grabbing the second-biggest audience of the season for The CW series, while Fox's Alcatrazfollowed up its Week 2 loss of 10 percent in the advertiser-coveted 18-to-49 demo with a Week 3 loss that was the same, according to Nielsen overnights. Without the benefit of a debate among the Republican presidential candidates, Brian Williams' new newsmagazine Rock Center dropped some 50 percent from a week ago. And The Bachelordipped about 4 percent from last week's season high. CBS yet again went with repeats — but Two and a Half Men still managed to attract the night's biggest audience.
