Ratings: Dancing Down From Last Year; 2 Broke Girls Hits Series Low

Dancing with the Stars' Season 16 premiere topped Monday, leading ABC to an easy win. The two-hour episode drew 16.8 million viewers and a 3.1 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic. Lead-out Castle (11 million, 2.2) was down a tenth from its last new episode three weeks ago.
Most of CBS' lineup returned down, with 2 Broke Girls (8.3 million, 2.7) and Mike & Molly (8.2 million, 2.4) hitting series and season lows, respectively. Rules of Engagement (6.6 million, 2.2) grew from last week, as did Hawaii Five-0 (8.7 million, 2.1), which hadn't aired in a month.
The Biggest Loser season finale (7.3 million, 2.6) was up from last season's finale, which aired in May. Deception's season, and likely series, finale (3.5 million, 1.3) rose two-tenths.

Spring TV 2013: Must-see new shows
Fox's Bones (7.3 million, 2.0) and The Following (7.1 million, 2.4) both suffered against all-new competition, but The Following was the night's highest-rated drama. The CW's The Carrie Diaries (1.04 million, 0.5) scored a five-week demo high.

On cable, A&E's Psycho-inspired new drama series Bates Motel opened to 3 million viewers, and 1.6 million in the demo. The series, starring Freddie Highmore and Vera Farmiga, is now the network's most-watched original drama series debut in the demo.
