Beyoncé, Stevie Wonder and will.i.am will be on hand to keep the beat at the NAACP Image Awards this Thursday (8 pm/ET, Fox).  The trio joins previously announced performers Jennifer Hudson and Seal at the 40th annual event.

A plethora of other stars will also appear throughout the evening, including Randy Jackson, Angela Bassett and Omar Epps, as well as Taraji P. Henson, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Regina Taylor and Kerry Washington. Halle Berry and Tyler Perry will cohost the awards.

Chris Brown, who was recently arrested in a felony battery case, is up for outstanding male artist, an award he won at least year's ceremony. Rihanna, who several news outlets have indentified as Brown's accuser in the domestic dispute, is in the running for best female artist. It's unclear if either artist will attend the ceremony. Both Brown and Rihanna cancelled their appearances at the Grammy Awards on Sunday.
While all the envelopes won't be opened until Thursday night, several honorees have already been announced. Former vice president Al Gore and Dr. Wangari Muta Maathai — both Nobel Prize winners — will receive the Chairman's Award; hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons will receive the Vanguard Award and Muhammad Ali will take home the President's Award.
