iCarly has been renewed for a fifth season, a Nickelodeon rep confirmed.
The network's hit live-action series stars Miranda Cosgrove as teen online celeb who creates and hosts her own web show, iCarly with her best friends Sam (Jennette McCurdy) and Freddie (Nathan Kress).
iCarly, which is currently airing third season, pulled in 7.4 million viewers for its most recent episode. The series is also planning a crossover episode with fellow Nick show Victorious on June 10.
Production on Season 4, which was ordered previously, is scheduled to begin in May. Season 5 is slated to air in 2012.
Cosgrove, 17, recently told TVGuide.com that she's looking forward to attending college next year. There's no word on how that will affect production, especially if she chooses New York University, which she says is among her top choices.
