Bad guys we root for

As anyone who saw the film or read Thomas Harris' Hannibal novel knows, this game won't end well for Verger. Set years after the events of the NBC show's current season, the book finds Verger as the only surviving victim of Dr. Lecter, who convinced him to hang himself and cut off most of his own face and feed it to dogs.

This younger version of Verger will be different than the pedophile's previous incarnations and has been compared to Andrew Scott's frantic and flamboyant portrayal of Moriarty on Sherlock.

What do you think of Pitt as Verger?

Hannibal returns Friday, Feb. 28 at 10/9c on NBC.
