Stars of the classic children's variety show The Electric Company will reunite this weekend when legendary actor Morgan Freeman presents the 50th SAG Life Achievement Award to actress Rita Moreno during the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Freeman and Moreno costarred in the 1971 PBS series that featured live-action sketches and cartoons designed to teach basic reading and grammar skills to children. The show ran for six years and won an Emmy for Outstanding Children's Series.
Freeman, himself SAG Award winner for 2005's Million Dollar Baby, will honor the 82-year-old Moreno for her nearly 70-year career, including her classic role in 1962's West Side Story.
The 20thScreen Actors Guild Awardsairs live on Saturday, Jan. 18 at 8/7c on TNT and TBS.
