Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve Scores Highest Ratings in 11 Years

The 40th anniversary of Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve had its highest ratings in 11 years.

Jenny McCarthy on co-hosting Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve: "All bets are off" 

The ABC special, co-hosted by Ryan Seacrest, Jenny McCarthy and Fergie, averaged 9.8 million viewers through five and a half hours, topping the ratings of all three other networks combined. The part of the program that aired from 11:35 p.m. to 12:32 a.m. scored an average of 22.6 million viewers and a gain of 3.8 million viewers.

New Year's Rockin' Eve came in second among all ABC specials for the year, only being outperformed by the Academy Awards.
