Diane Sawyer Says Goodbye on Final GMA

Within minutes of Diane Sawyer's final taping of Good Morning America, emotions began to run high.

"And for one more time, Good Morning America," Sawyer said as she began Friday morning's show. "This morning I am beaming at all of you. My heart is smiling, and the privilege of sharing my mornings with all of you has been more than I can say."

The GMA co-anchor announced that she will move to World News Tonight as its new anchor starting Monday, Dec. 21. George Stephanopoulos and Juju Chang will join the morning news program to replace Sawyer and Chris Cuomo, who also will be leaving the morning news program for 20/20.

Robin Roberts, who worked alongside Sawyer since 2005, also warned viewers to "put on some waterproof mascara" as she struggled to hold back tears.
