Courteney Cox and David Arquette Finalize Divorce

After 12 years of marriage, Courteney Cox and David Arquette's divorce was finalized Tuesday in a Los Angeles courtroom, People reports.

More shocking celebrity splits

Cox, 48, and Arquette, 41, split in October 2010, but waited until June 2012 to file divorce papers. They both requested joint legal and physical custody of their 8-year-old daughter Coco.

Cox and Arquette have remained amicable since their split. "He's my best friend in the world," the Friends grad said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in January. "I love him." This was the first marriage for both.
