Before she reprises her role as Princess Leia in Star Wars: Episode VII, Carrie Fisher is putting in some TV time. The actress will play Angela Greenberg, an aggressive comedy-development exec who sets up a meeting with Jim (Jim Jefferies) on FXX's Legit later this season. "She's a very crass and confident showbiz woman who knows what she wants and doesn't care what anyone else thinks," says Fisher, 57, who compares the role to the tough agent she played in the 1991 film Soapdish. "Jim's talent doesn't matter to her. She's interested in him sexually and gets what she wants."
Fisher will also appear on the Jan. 30 episode of CBS's The Big Bang Theory, with fellow Star Wars vet James Earl Jones (the voice of Darth Vader). "For the first time, the guys are unable to get Comic-Con tickets," says executive producer Steven Molaro, "so Sheldon attempts to start his own convention. He needs a killer panelist, but everyone on his list hangs up on him. So he sets his sights on James Earl Jones and tracks him down." Fisher makes what Molaro calls an "interesting" cameo.
As for the next Star Wars film, Fisher says she, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill are expected to report to work in March or April. "I'd like to wear my old [cinnamon buns] hairstyle again — but with white hair," she says. "I think that would be funny."
