Ashton Kutcher Hospitalized After Following "Fruitarian" Diet

Two and a Half Men star Ashton Kutcher went all in for his portrayal of Steve Jobs in the upcoming biopic jOBS — even adopting the Apple founder's "fruitarian" diet, which Kutcher says led to "some serious issues." "I ended up in the hospital two days before we started shooting the movie," Kutcher told reporters Friday at the Sundance Film Festival, where the film premiered, The Asociated Press reports.

"I ended up in the hospital two days before we started shooting the movie," Kutcher told reporters Friday at the Sundance Film Festival, where the film premiered, The Associated Press reports. "I was doubled over in pain, and my pancreas levels were completely out of whack — which was completely terrifying, considering everything." (Jobs died of pancreatic cancer in 2011.)Even aside from the physical complications, Kutcher said portraying the tech icon was "honestly one of the most terrifying things I've ever tried to do in my life." "It was kind of like throwing myself into this gauntlet of ... massive amounts of criticism," Kutcher says of the risky endeavor.

jOBS received mixed reviews at Sundance and is scheduled to open in theaters on April 19. Do you plan on seeing the movie?
