Zombieland, Alpha House Lead in Viewer Votes Among Amazon Pilots

Amazon unveiled 14 new original pilots last week, and according to TVGuide.com's poll, Alpha House, Zombieland and Onion News Empire are the early favorites.

Amazon unveiled 14 new original pilots last week, and according to TVGuide.com's poll, Alpha House, Zombieland and Onion News Empire are the early favorites.

Zombieland, based on the 2009 movie of the same name, was the most popular among the debuts, with 75 percent of respondents voting to keep it. Fifty-eight percent of voters also liked the political satire Alpha House, starring John Goodman and written by "Doonesbury" comic creator Gary Trudeau. Onion News Network, which had 52 percent of voters giving a thumbs up, was edged out of third place by Betas, a comedy about four computer geeks in Silicon Valley starring Ed Begley Jr., which earned 56 percent positive votes.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, Browsers and Supanatural received only 24 and 27 percent of "Keep It" votes, respectively.

Similarly, none of Amazon's six children's pilots received more than 40 percent "Keep It" votes. Creative Galaxy and Tumbleaf fared the worse, with 79 percent of respondents voting to trash each.
