Bye bye, Black Jack!

There's only one episode left in the second season of Outlander, and while Starz is giving fans an extra-long finale there's still so many things that need to happen before we head into another #Droughtlander.

The Jacobites are heading into battle at Culloden Moor in the season finale -- the battle history remembers as the end of the Scottish Highland culture. Will Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) be able to make one more Hail Mary to stop all of their friends and family from dying? What could go so badly that Claire goes back through the stones to her own time instead of staying with Jamie?

That's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to our burning questions, so we've compiled a list of things that need to happen in the Outlander finale.

1. Black Jack Randall Needs to Die

Black Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies) needs to meet his end. Not just "left for dead," but definitely, undeniably killed. It's necessary not only for the audience's own personal satisfaction, but to ensure that Mary (Rosie Day) leaves a safe and secure life after the war.

The Outlander season finale will go back to the future to reveal the past

2. Fergus needs to be sent away from battle

International treasure Fergus (Romann Berrux) must survive Culloden. Even if every other MacKenzie and Fraser dies on the field, Fergus is not allowed to be a casualty of this ill-advised battle.

3. Claire needs to figure out she's pregnant

Claire returns to Frank (Menzies) in 1948 pregnant with Jamie's child. She's a day away from going back through the stones to her own time period but no mention has been made of a child. She'll need to discover the truth before she makes it back to her first husband.

4. We need to meet Brianna

We already know from first-look images that Jamie and Claire's daughter will play a part in the finale. How much like her father is she? How much does she know about him? We can't wait to find out!

5. Murtagh and Jamie need to share some bonding moments

If this is the last time that Murtagh (Duncan Lacroix) and Jamie will fight together, then there needs to be a sincere heart-to-heart or punch in the face (they are Scotish rogues after all) to cement the bro-love we know is there.

6. Jamie and Claire need to have goodbye sex

We know that Claire ends up back in 1948, but there's still time for her and Jamie to have pre-battle "In case we don't survive this" sex. You know, for the romance of the story.

7. Bonnie Prince Charlie needs to realize he's the worst

This battle is happening because Bonnie Prince Charlie a) can't follow directions and b) can't listen to sound advice by people who know more about Scotland than he does. If he could just deflate his ego just a little bit he could see that his arrogance will cost thousands of people their lives.

8. Jamie needs to survive Culloden

Outlander has been renewed for two more seasons now. Are we really expected to watch those if there is no Jamie Fraser? Pfft. We know the chances are slim, but we are crossing our fingers that Jamie somehow makes it out of this and we see his precious, ginger face once again.

The Outlander Season 2 finale airs July 9 at 9/8c on Starz.
