Halloween Costume Contest: Enter to Win Big Prizes

Got good cosplay game? How about you prove it, and enter to win TV Guide and CNET's Halloween costume contest? You could win bragging rights... and cool prizes, including a 4K streamer!

That's right, pop culture fans: TV Guide and CNET have partnered to host a costume contest -- the perfect forum to pay tribute to the shows, movies and iconic characters you're passionate about, and to let your vivid imaginations and keen eye for detail run completely wild.

So let's see those magnificent fantasy looks, those post-apocalyptic getups and those truly stunning horror story creations. (But, um, maybe skip the "sexy oppressed people" costumes, and definitely no nudity or offensive costumes please.) Don't hold back; three lucky winners will take home an Apple TV and more.

Here's what you can win:

• The grand prize winner will take home one Apple TV 4K 64GB and one comic-inspired leather jacket by Film Jackets
• The first runner-up will win an Apple TV 32 GB and one $100 Visa Gift Card
• The second runner-up will win an Apple TV 32 GB

A few rules: Contestants must be 18 years or older to enter. Costumes should be of your favorite character. Contestants must be solo to win: no groups, pets or babies, please. This contest is only valid in the U.S., Puerto Rico and Canada.

How to enter:

The contest occurs in three phases.

Phase 1: Submit your photo before Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 11:59 p.m. PT to be considered.

Phase 2: The judges will select five finalists according to the following criteria:

- Most interesting (50 percent)
- Originality (25 percent)
- Relation to theme (15 percent)
- Aesthetically pleasing (10 percent)

Phase 3: Once CNET and TV Guide have selected the finalists, the remaining contestants will be notified, kicking off the voting period wherein finalists will rally friends and family to compete for the most votes. Contestants whose photos get the most votes between Thursday, Nov. 1 at 2 p.m. PT and Sunday, Nov. 4 at 11:59 p.m. PT will be crowned the winner!
