It's been another year of great television performances so it's time to celebrate them as we head into Emmys season. There are over 500 scripted shows on television now, including streaming and digital platforms, which means there is a lot to choose from when trying to decide what the best shows in prime-time television are. From heartbreaking true stories like The Act and Chernobylto groundbreaking comedies like Barry and The Good Place, there is so much great stuff out there to binge and enjoy, and we don't envy Emmy voters who have to choose between these amazing performances.

However, TV Guide is still helping to celebrate great work and give our own recognition to the stand-out performances that made this TV season great. Check out all of our 2019 Primetime Emmys coverage so far.
