A steady performer for ABC, 'Wife' ranges from issue-oriented to slapstick. It's very much the vision of star Damon Wayans (also a coexecutive producer), who based it in part on his own life, and frequently uses family members as actors, directors and screenwriters.

Lifetime Orders Drama Starring Sons of Anarchy's Ally Walker

Lifetime has picked up the procedural dramas Against the Wall and Exit 19, the network announced Monday. Both series received 13-episode orders. Exit 19 stars Sons of Anarchy actress Ally Walker as Gloria, a divorced mother who juggles her demanding personal and professional life as an intuitive LAPD homicide detective. The drama co-stars Chris Payne Gilbert as Walker's character's  brother Davey, Tisha Campbell-Martin (My Wife and Kids) as her police partner and Miguel Ferrer (Crossing Jordan) as their boss.Jeffrey Bell (V), Nina Wass (Less Than Perfect) and Gene Stein (Accidentally on Purpose) executive-produced the pilot from ABC Studios and CBS Television Studios.

Exclusive: Damon Wayans to Guest-Star on ABC's Happy Endings

Damon Wayans Jr. will get a visit from real-life dad Damon Wayans in an episode of the ABC comedy Happy Endings. The series revolves around a couple (Elisha Cuthbert and Zachary Knighton), whose break-up complicates their friends' lives. Wayans Jr. plays one of their pals, Brad. Wayans Sr. will play Brad's dad, an uptight guy who visits his son after getting a new lease on life post-health scare.

The Practice
