Three teams of confectionery artists face off to see who can make the best holiday displays.

The country's top bakers battle it out to create Halloween's spookiest and most-irresistible treats. From spider cupcakes, cheesecake coffins and witch finger cookies to towering confections of terror, these bakers must prove their skills to the judges to land the $25,000 prize and the title of Halloween Baking Champion!

Competitors showcase their impressive palates in a series of increasingly complex tasting challenges that push their senses and culinary knowledge to the limits.

The delicious documentary gives exclusive access to the world class shop in Brighton which produces over 7,500 cakes per year, charges up to £9,000 a piece and boasts Madonna, Davina McCall, Hugh Grant, Bob Geldoff, Kylie Minogue, Katie Price and the Scissor Sisters amongst its clientele. Choccywoccydoodah was even responsible for all the chocolate in Tim Burton's movies including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Alice in Wonderland.

Ten home bakers go head-to-head in a range of creative chocolate-based challenges. These challenges include everything from creating an out-of-this-world chocolate creation with a galactic mirror finish and baking an over-the-top spectacle cake, to re-imagining a classic campfire treat and creating a chocolate confection with a spicy kick. Some of the bakers may melt under the pressure and only one will taste sweet victory by claiming the title of Great Chocolate Showdown champion and the $50,000 grand prize.
