What to Stream the Weekend of March 9

Spending the weekend indoors and not sure what to watch? TV Guide's Editor-in-Chief Mickey O'Connor has a few suggestions. Here's what you should stream this weekend.

1. Ladies First

This moving documentary centers around Deepika Kumari's journey from rural India to the Rio Olympics, where she fought to become the first Indian woman to win an Olympic Gold Medal. Follow along as she overcomes sexist attitudes and works her way to the top as the number one archer in the world. The film arrives on Netflix on Thursday, March 8.

2. Marvel's Jessica Jones

Now that she's taken out Kilgrave (David Tennant), life should be peachy keen right? Wrong! Season 2 of the Marvel series starring Krysten Ritter will see the titular character on the search for IGH, the shadowy organization that experimented on her, giving her powers. The new season, which was entirely directed by women, heads to Netflix on Thursday, March 8.

3. Nailed It

This ain't your average baking show. Amateur bakers will try their best to replicate elaborate and tasty treats which won't yield the results they were looking for. Co-hosted by comedian Nicole Byer and Jacques Torres, the six-episode first season will make its way to Netflix on Friday, March 9.

4. Sneaky Pete

The drama continues in Season 2 for Marius (Giovanni Ribisi), who must continue pretending to be his former cellmate Pete in order to protect his fake family. When some gangsters turn up and threaten their lives, he'll feel the need to step in and look after them -- which might be easier said than done. The new season heads to Amazon on Friday, March 9.

5. American Idol

The iconic reality series is back with a new panel of judges made up of Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan. This latest iteration won't focus on those cringe-worthy auditions (Sorry, William Hung) made famous by the original run on Fox and aims to modernize the series. Catch it when it premieres Sunday, March 11 at 8/7c on ABC. If you're unable to watch the telecast, you can also stream it live on Hulu.
