The Group's Rocky Reunion with Andrea and 7 Other Walking Dead Spoilers

With only seven episodes before The Walking Deadcomes to what's expected to be an epic Season 3 finale, the war between the prison group and Woodbury is ramping up in a big way.

Walking Dead Postmortem: Can both Rick and the Governor survive Season 3?

As Rick (Andrew Lincoln) is descending into madness, the rest of his group will need to take steps to ensure their safety, which is made more difficult since Daryl (Norman Reedus) decided to leave with his brother Merle (Michael Rooker), Rick kicked out Tyreese's (Chad Coleman) group and he wants Michonne (Danai Gurira) gone. Can the prison really survive an assault from Woodbury in this state? TVGuide.com caught up with the cast of the AMC series to get the scoop on what's in store for the final few episodes. Check it out:

Rick's gone crazy: Rick has a ways to go before he hits rock bottom, which will make for an interesting ultimate face-to-face with the Governor, who is also going down a destructive path following the death of his zombie daughter. "Let's have a crazy-off!" Lincoln jokes. "A lot of the back half of the season is the struggle between two ideologies and two men, but also a struggle for Rick's sanity. He's probably at his lowest ever."

The Governor is out for blood: Rick & Co. have now led two assaults on Woodbury, so expect the Governor (David Morrissey) to retaliate — and soon! "He's a man who's really angry and wants vengeance," Morrissey says. "He's got quite a nihilistic approach at the moment. It'll be about whether he'll listen to the voices of reason in his community, people like Andrea and Milton."

Daryl and Merle are on the road again: Daryl may come to regret his decision to leave the group with Merle, but their departure will shed light on the Dixon brothers' past. "Daryl reverts back to being younger brother," Reedus says. "Then again, Daryl's chest is puffed up quite a bit. He's a new guy, he's a tougher guy and he cares about people. I don't think he cared about people before, so there's definitely a conflict there."

Is Michonne part of the group now? Realizing that she needs a community to be a part of, Michonne will work hard to prove that she should stay with Rick & Co. — and because they need the numbers, it may not be too hard for her to do that. "It is quite a process for people, in a world this hostile, for people to get to know her," Gurira says. "When you show your skills, you show what side you're on." But whether she could ever let Andrea back in is another story. "It doesn't matter what the circumstances, [they] will always deeply be affected by each other," she says.

Is Rick becoming the Governor?  "We wanted to hold up a mirror that this could've been Rick maybe two to three months down the line with a civilization like Woodbury," Lincoln says. "Rick and his family have been moving around hand to mouth and haven't had time to digest the grief and the shock and the horror of the situation. So what's possibly happened in Woodbury is that they've had time to sit with it, and that's had a detrimental effect on some of the characters."

Can the group trust Andrea? Despite a long separation, the group won't be pleased with Andrea's (Laurie Holden) arrival to the prison in an upcoming episode. "I don't trust her one bit!" Lincoln says. "She's been sleeping with a psycho!" Holden adds that it won't be the happiest of episodes when she does finally reunite with the group. "Yes, she befriended The Governor, but she was never actively trying to kill the group," Holden says. "That's not who Andrea is. It's a misunderstanding and their misconception of a situation. They assume she's bad now. Unfortunately, she pays a price for being in the dark."

Glenn's on a path for vengeance: After Glenn (Steven Yeun) was tortured and Maggie (Lauren Cohan) was nearly raped by the Governor, Glenn will be on the warpath, which could cloud his judgment in the back half of the season. "I think that's exactly the trend you're seeing," Yeun says. "For him, he just wants to exact revenge, whether people get pushed to the wayside in lieu of that or not. You see his myopic view of revenge, and he continues to victimize Maggie in a way because he thinks he knows what's good for her when he doesn't. It could be a division and fissure in between the two of them."

Andrea's caught in the middle: Just because she reunites with her group, doesn't mean she's chosen a side. "It's never about choosing sides, because when she sees the Governor for who he is, she's not going to be with him," Holden says. "She's smarter than that. Rick and the group are her family and she was conned. She's caught in an impossible situation where she doesn't want anyone to die and people do try to force her to take sides."
